Today’s reminder: sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop, breathe, and be fully present with the people who matter most. Today we had a family day out at Phillip Island Wildlife Park, organised by Edward, and it was exactly what I needed. Between running a business, being a mum and being a wife, life can feel like one big juggling act. I love what I do. I love building, problem solving, leading, and pushing boundaries. But days like today remind me that success is not just measured in projects completed, emails answered, or milestones achieved. Sometimes success is: - A day out with my son and husband. - Fresh air, sunshine, and laughter. - Letting Edward take the lead and plan the adventure. - Taking time to rest and recharge without guilt. - Supporting local businesses and local attractions. - Remembering that family time is not “time off”, it is time invested. - Being grateful for the life I am building, not just the business I am growing. As women, mothers, partners, leaders, and business owners, we often feel pressure to keep going, keep achieving, and keep proving ourselves. But we also need to give ourselves permission to pause. Today was a beautiful reminder that the people standing beside us are often the reason we work so hard in the first place. Grateful for my family, grateful for the memories, and grateful for the reminder that balance does not always mean doing less, sometimes it means being more present.
